In October 2021 I joined the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)'s Leaving No One Behind (LNOB) Project. This Japan-funded project focuses on at-risk populations during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly women and girls, GBV survivors, older persons, persons with disabilities, and people living with HIV. The project was implemented from April 2021 to September 2022.
Personally, for me, the focus on vulnerable populations brought a lot of learning. I understand more about each group's vulnerabilities more specifically, as well as possible support and social protection for them. In this organization I learned about ways to provide crucial support that can help reduce vulnerabilities, and even more, be lifesaving.
The following are some publications that I co-wrote, which will share some insights on the LNOB approaches.
- Bappenas Hopes UNFPA’s Inclusive COVID-19 Response Programme Inform Policies
- Older persons in Indonesia most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic
